Company Profile

The School of Marxism of South China University of Technology is a key school of Marxism in Guangdong Province and a key school of Marxism jointly built by the Publicity Department of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. The school currently offers an undergraduate program in Marxist Theory, a master's degree program, a doctoral degree program, and a postdoctoral research station in the first-level discipline of Marxist Theory. It has four research directions: Basic Principles of Marxism, Research on the Sinicization of Marxism, Ideological and Political Education, and Research on Basic Issues of Modern and Contemporary Chinese History.

Since 2019, the school has been approved for 203 research projects, including 22 projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation (1 major project, 1 key project, and 20 other projects), and 40 projects funded by the Ministry of Education and other provincial and ministerial-level departments. It has published 20 research works such as "Philosophical Research on Information Civilization" and "The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Guangzhou". It has published over 370 papers, including over 120 papers in CSSCI journals, and over 10 papers in authoritative journals such as "Social Sciences in China", "Studies in Marxism", and "Philosophical Research". It has won 2 awards for outstanding research achievements in the 8th Higher Education Scientific Research Awards (Humanities and Social Sciences) of the Ministry of Education and 6 awards for outstanding achievements in Guangdong Province's Philosophy and Social Sciences.

To further promote the construction of "Double First-Class" in our university and enhance the development level of the discipline of Marxist theory, we are now recruiting outstanding postdoctoral researchers at home and abroad. The specific requirements for recruitment are as follows:

Position Description

Post Type: Postdoctoral Researcher (Position A, Position B, Position C)

The postdoctoral positions are classified into three types: Position A, Position B, and Position C. The management of the employment period and career development prospects are as follows:

1. The employment period for postdoctoral researchers in Position A, Position B, and Position C is generally three years.

2. Those who perform exceptionally well in the exit assessment may be directly appointed as regular faculty members based on the needs of the positions by the university; those who perform well in the exit assessment can apply for regular faculty positions at the university, and will be selected and appointed as regular faculty members based on the needs of the positions.

3. The university encourages and supports postdoctoral researchers to apply for various postdoctoral talent and research projects at the national and provincial (Guangdong) levels during their tenure. Those who receive project funding will enjoy the highest relevant benefits.

4. Postdoctoral researchers can apply for the qualification of associate researcher during their tenure.

Recruitment Requirements

1. A member of the Communist Party of China; abide by laws and regulations, with no disciplinary violations; passionate about higher education, physically and mentally healthy, with good conduct and professional ethics; generally under 35 years old.

2. A doctoral graduate who has obtained a doctoral degree within no more than three years, or an upcoming doctoral graduate (must obtain the doctoral degree certificate within six months after entering the station and submit supplementary proof materials to the campus functional department).

3. Engage in full-time postdoctoral research at South China University of Technology during the station period.

4. Meet the performance requirements for entering the postdoctoral station of the college.

Welfare and Compensation

1. The postdoctoral positions are classified into three types: A, B, and C. Applicants will be hired into the corresponding postdoctoral positions based on their educational background, innovation ability, academic achievements and level, and development potential, and will be managed through classified recruitment, employment, and assessment.

2. The university offers an annual salary ranging from 200,000 to 320,000 RMB (before tax), and social insurance and housing provident fund will be paid as per regulations.

3. The chilPostdocen of postdoctoral researchers enjoy the same benefits as the chilPostdocen of university staff in terms of kindergarten and school enrollment.

4. The university provides rental apartments or rental subsidies.

5. The college and the cooperating supervisor may provide additional research funds and performance rewards for postdoctoral researchers.

6. Postdoctoral researchers who complete their research can apply for the university's "pre-appointment - tenure-track" teaching and research series or full-time research series positions. Contact Information
