Northwestern Polytechnical University was among the first institutions to establish a postdoctoral research station after the country set up such stations in 1985. The university has always attached great importance to the recruitment and cultivation of postdoctoral researchers and continuously strengthened the construction of the postdoctoral team. I. Recruitment Conditions

Adhere to the Constitution and laws of the People's Republic of China, possess good political qualities and professional ethics, have strong research capabilities, a clear research direction and considerable potential for development.

2. Generally, they should be doctoral graduates within the last three years. The age of uniformly allocated postdoctoral researchers and enterprise postdoctoral researchers should not exceed 35 years old. The age limit for enterprise postdoctoral researchers jointly recruited with national-level workstations can be relaxed to 40 years old.

The unified and classified postdoctoral researchers are divided into specially funded postdoctoral researchers and regular postdoctoral researchers.

Special Postdoctoral Fellows: No more than 32 years old, targeting young talents with strong research capabilities, great research potential and academic levels higher than those of assistant professors in the college.

Regular Postdoctoral Fellows: No more than 35 years old, targeting young talents with certain innovative capabilities, research potential, and academic levels close to that of assistant professors in the college.

II. Development Support

Project Support: The university provides comprehensive support for young talents to apply for various national and provincial talent programs and fund projects for postdoctoral researchers. For all types of postdoctoral projects, the university and the college organize experts to guide the writing and revision of application documents.

2. Development Channels:

During the period of employment, if one meets the standards of an associate professor or above at the corresponding position, they can apply to be pre-appointed as a tenured faculty member of the university. Once appointed, they will be managed under the corresponding position and enjoy the corresponding benefits.

During the period of their stay at the station, those who are selected for the "National Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program", "Cheung Kong Scholars Program", "Macao Young Scholars Program", "China-Germany Postdoctoral Exchange Program", "University's Aoxiang Postdoctoral Program", etc., can apply to be retained as the university's tenure-track faculty.

3. Service Assurance: The Human Resources Department (Postdoctoral Office) of the university will provide you with one-stop services and full-process guarantees, including policy consultation, onboarding, and implementation of benefits.

III. Salary and Benefits

The school offers competitive salaries and contributes to the five social insurances and one housing fund. During the postdoctoral period, if one is approved for the national postdoctoral support program (ABC categories), the salary can be enjoyed in addition to the school's salary. If one is selected for the "Shaanxi Province Sanqin Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program", "Shaanxi Province Postdoctoral Research Funding Program", and other funding programs, the salary can also be enjoyed in addition to the school's salary.

The Ningbo Research Institute, Chongqing Science and Technology Innovation Center, Changjiang Delta Research Institute in Taicang and Shenzhen Research Institute of Northwestern Polytechnical University all recruit enterprise postdoctoral researchers at the same time. Northwestern Polytechnical University is located in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. It is a national "Double First-Class" university that focuses on cultivating talents and conducting scientific research in the fields of aviation, aerospace, and marine engineering. It is under the administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

In 1960, it was designated as a national key university by the State Council. During the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan periods, it was listed as one of the key universities for national construction by the State Council.
