Job Description

I. Introduction of the Cooperative Supervisor/Team Leader

Li Li, a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Metallurgy, Northeastern University, and the director of the institute, is the head of the Renewable Energy Conversion and Storage Team. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and has been selected as a Leading Talent of the National High-level Talent Program, a Young Talent of the National High-level Talent Program (Four Qings), a Talent of the Liaoning Xingliao Program, and a Distinguished Talent of Shenyang City. His H-index is over 50. He serves as the deputy chairperson and committee member of several domestic and international professional committees, such as the Melting Salt Chemistry and Technology Committee of the Chinese Society of Nonferrous Metals. He has published over 100 SCI papers as the corresponding author in renowned academic journals both domestically and internationally, including Chem, Matter, PNAS, JACS, Angew, Chemical Society Reviews, Energy & Environmental Science, and Science Bulletin. He is a member of the editorial board of National Science Review, the chairperson of the review committee of Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A, and the deputy editor, editor, and editorial board member of over 10 domestic and international academic journals, such as Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B, Materials Horizons, and ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering. He has won over 20 domestic and international awards, including the Royal Society of Chemistry Young Scientist Award, the International Materials Institute Science Award, and the Rongcheng Xiangqing Research Innovation Award. Currently, his team consists of 3 professors and 1 associate professor, among whom there are 3 national-level talents and 2 national "Four Qings" talents. His main research directions are: 1) New energy storage (lithium batteries, sodium batteries, Li-S batteries, supercapacitors, aqueous batteries, and other energy storage forms) and device preparation; 2) Metallurgical physical chemistry and new metallurgical materials; 3) Electrocatalysis/photocatalysis and green hyPostdocogen production technology; 4) Battery recycling and solid waste resource recovery and utilization, etc.

II. Job Position - Full-time Teacher/Postdoctoral Researcher: 2 positions

1. Recruitment Requirements

1) Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, metallurgy, physics or related fields. They should have a down-to-earth style, strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills and teamwork spirit. Those with research experience in new energy materials such as batteries and electrocatalysis are preferred.

2) In the past five years, I have published multiple academic papers as the first author in SCI Zone 1 journals. I have a strong interest in scientific research, can raise scientific questions, and possess a strong ability to conduct independent scientific research.

3) Possess excellent writing and communication skills in both Chinese and English.

4) The age of regular postdoctoral fellows should not exceed 35 years old, that of specially funded postdoctoral fellows should not exceed 30 years old, and that of Class D "Outstanding Young Talent" of Northeastern University should not exceed 32 years old.

2. Job Responsibilities and Development Opportunities

3. Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for regular postdoctoral fellows is 170,000 yuan: 120,000 yuan is provided by the university and 50,000 yuan by the supervisor.

Special postdoctoral fellowship of 250,000 yuan: 120,000 yuan provided by the university, 50,000 yuan by the supervisor, and 80,000 yuan as special funding from the college.

Northeastern University's "Outstanding Young Talent" Program, Category D, offers a maximum of 330,000 yuan: 250,000 yuan provided by the university and an additional 80,000 yuan in special funding from the college for those under 30 years old.

The base annual salary for the "Outstanding Young Talent" Category C at Northeastern University is 300,000 yuan per year, and the incentive annual salary is 20,000 yuan per year for each item × the number of incentive annual salary assessment items. The position is an associate professor at the third level (for those from outside the university) or a specially appointed associate researcher (for those within the university), with an age limit of under 35 years old.

For the "Outstanding Young Talent" category B at Northeastern University, the base annual salary is 350,000 yuan per year, and the incentive annual salary is 20,000 yuan per year for each assessment item multiplied by the number of assessment items. The position of Distinguished Researcher will be offered, along with the qualification to supervise doctoral students. (Applicants must be under 40 years old.)
