Postdoctoral Position Available in Professor Peng Chen's Research Group at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Wuhan University

I. Introduction to the Research Group

Professor Chen Peng, the head of the research group, is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Wuhan University. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology of China and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Irvine. He has been selected for a national-level young talent program. In the field of molecular mechanisms and prevention and treatment strategies for Clostridioides difficile infection, he has achieved relevant results, with articles published in Science, Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, Nature Communications, and other journals. At the same time, he has obtained several PCT patents with application prospects in the fields of Clostridioides difficile infection vaccine research and Postdocug design. The research group will be based on a structural biology platform (cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, XL-MS mass spectrometry, etc.) and use interdisciplinary collaboration methods to focus on the molecular mechanisms of pathogen-microbe and host interactions and the development of targeted Postdocugs. II. Postdoctoral Recruitment Requirements

Possessing a doctoral degree or about to obtain one, with a relevant background in biochemical and molecular biology, cell biology, structural biology, and microbiology.

2. Have a strong interest in scientific research, possess excellent English reading and writing skills, and have published SCI research papers as the first author.

3. Possess a spirit of teamwork and the ability to independently analyze and solve problems.

III. Job Information

We are recruiting multiple postdoctoral researchers to mainly engage in research on the molecular mechanisms of the interaction between pathogenic microorganisms and host membrane receptors, as well as Postdocug design.

1. Salary and benefits: Based on the applicant's academic ability and relevant regulations for postdoctoral management, the salary will be determined on a competitive basis. Generally, the annual salary for applicants ranges from 200,000 to 350,000 RMB (before tax). For exceptionally outstanding candidates, the specific salary and benefits will be negotiated. With the addition of various postdoctoral project subsidies from the state and local governments, the maximum annual salary can reach up to 580,000 RMB.
