Professor Zhang Xiaolian's research group from the Taikang Medical College (School of Basic Medical Sciences) of Wuhan University is in need of several postdoctoral researchers for their scientific research work. Zhang Xiaolian, a Distinguished Professor of Honyee Chair at Wuhan University, a Second-Class Professor, is the Director of the Department of Immunology at the School of Basic Medical Sciences (Takung Medical College), and the Director of the Key Laboratory of Allergy and Immune-related Diseases of Hubei Province. She is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Chief Scientist of the National Key Research and Development Program, the Zhang Shuzheng Outstanding Achievement Award in Glycobiology, a member of the Academic Committee of Wuhan University, and the Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of the Medical School. She also serves as the Deputy Chairperson of the Microbiology and Immunology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Wuhan University (Medical Edition), among other positions.
Professor Zhang Xiaolian has long been dedicated to the research of pathogenic microbial glycobiology and infection immunity, achieving internationally influential results in the field. She has led several key projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program, major projects on tuberculosis from the "11th Five-Year Plan" to the "13th Five-Year Plan", the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and key projects. Her research achievements have won four provincial and ministerial-level first and second prizes, including the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education. She has obtained 73 national invention patents. She has published over 200 research papers, many of which have been cited by Faculty of 1000 and rated as top 2% in biomedicine. Among them, she has published over 200 SCI papers as the independent or corresponding author in journals such as Nature Communication, Science Advances, and J Am Chem Soc, including 17 papers with an IF > 10. Her papers have been cited over 7,000 times by journals such as Nature and Nat Rev Microbiol, with 12 papers having more than 100 citations each.
I. Research Directions
We are engaged in research on the glycobiology and infection immunity of important human pathogenic microorganisms such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis and hepatitis viruses, aiming to discover key pathogenic factors and the interaction mechanisms between them and the immune system, providing new targets and strategies for disease diagnosis and the development of Postdocugs and vaccines.
II. Job Requirements
Have good ideological and political qualities, love the higher education cause, abide by laws and regulations. Generally no more than 35 years old, with good English reading, writing and communication skills.
2. Possess excellent teamwork skills, with a strong sense of initiative and responsibility, be diligent and down-to-earth, and have a passion for scientific research.
3. Have obtained or be about to obtain a doctoral degree in molecular biology, immunology or related fields, and meet the postdoctoral recruitment conditions of the university.
4. During the doctoral period, publish high-quality research papers as the first author in mainstream international academic journals in the relevant field.
5. Candidates with skills in protein structure analysis, animal experiments, bioinformatics analysis, etc. are preferred.
III. Job Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the supervisor, I carried out independent research work, published academic papers in well-known domestic and international journals, and participated in important academic conferences in the field.
2. Assist the supervisor in applying for research projects, manage the research team, organize academic reports and discussion sessions, and at the same time encourage and support the postdoctoral researcher to actively apply for research projects.
IV. Remuneration and Benefits
For general applicants, the annual salary ranges from 180,000 to 300,000 yuan (before tax, including the portion from the research group). Particularly outstanding candidates will be recommended to apply for the university's "Hongyi Postdoctoral" and key-funded postdoctoral positions. The specific salary will be determined in accordance with the relevant regulations of the university. Additionally, various postdoctoral project subsidies from the state, Hubei Province, and Wuhan City can be superimposed.
