Job Description

The history of Beijing Forestry University (BFU) can be traced back to the Forestry Program of the College of Agriculture at the Imperial University of Peking, founded in 1902. During the national adjustment of colleges and departments in 1952, the Forestry Department of Beijing Agricultural University merged with the Forestry Department of Hebei Agricultural College to establish Beijing Forestry College. In 1956, the Landscape Architecture Department of Beijing Agricultural University and part of the Architecture Department of Tsinghua University were incorporated into the college. In 1960, it was listed as a national key university. In 1981, it became one of the first universities authorized to grant doctoral and master's degrees. In 1985, the university was renamed Beijing Forestry University. In 1996, it was included in the first batch of key universities under the "211 Project". In 2017, it was among the first batch of universities included in the national "Double First-Class" initiative, with two disciplines—Forestry and Landscape Architecture—selected into the list of "Double First-Class" disciplines. In 2021, it successfully obtained approval for the Xiongan Campus, becoming one of the first universities to settle in Xiongan, and will take this as a major opportunity to promote high-quality development with the "One University, Two Campuses, One Park" layout. In 2022, it was included in the second round of national "Double First-Class" construction universities. In 2023, the Ministry of Education, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality decided to jointly build Beijing Forestry University.

With biology and ecology as its foundation, and featuring disciplines such as Forestry, Landscape Architecture, Forestry Engineering, Soil and Water Conservation and Desertification Control, Grass Science, and Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management, BFU is a national key university with coordinated development in multiple disciplines including agriculture, science, engineering, management, economics, liberal arts, law, philosophy, education, and art. To further strengthen the construction of its faculty and talent team, BFU now launches the 2025 recruitment of high-level talents from home and abroad and outstanding young teachers. The specific arrangements are as follows:

### I. Job Requirements

### II. Basic Qualifications

1. Love the motherland, uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, and support the Party's educational policy and the socialist orientation in running schools.

2. Be in good physical and mental health, with upright conduct, abide by laws and regulations, and have no bad records.

3. Love the cause of higher education and university teaching, and possess the ability and quality for classroom teaching. Have clear logical thinking, and good communication and language expression skills.

4. Have outstanding research achievements that reflect strong scientific research capabilities or academic innovation potential.

5. Have a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism, as well as good teamwork spirit and organizational coordination skills.

6. Persons with any of the following circumstances are not allowed to apply:

(1) Have been subjected to criminal punishment, or disciplinary sanctions by the Party or administrative organs;

(2) Are under disciplinary inspection, or suspected of illegal crimes and under judicial investigation without a conclusion;

(3) Have been identified as having committed fraud or other serious violations of examination and employment discipline in public service recruitment at all levels;

(4) Have been included in the list of persons subject to joint disciplinary action for dishonesty in accordance with the law;

(5) Have a record of academic misconduct or other bad behaviors;

(6) Have been disciplined by the school during their studies;

(7) Would form an avoidance relationship after employment;

(8) Have other records of bad behaviors.

### III. Eligibility Criteria

1. **Strategic Scientists**: Have achieved internationally recognized innovative research results and made significant contributions in relevant disciplines, with profound academic attainments, and able to lead the discipline to catch up with or maintain an international advanced level in the field. This includes academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, foreign and overseas academicians, or persons with equivalent qualifications, generally under 65 years of age.

2. **Leading Talents**: Professors or senior researchers from renowned domestic and foreign universities or world-leading research institutions, generally under 55 years of age. Have high international academic influence, achieved industry-recognized important research results, and able to lead the discipline to catch up with or maintain a national leading level in the field.

3. **Distinguished Talents**: Professors, researchers, or persons with equivalent positions from well-known domestic and foreign universities or research institutions, generally under 50 years of age. Have high influence in their research field, achieved industry-recognized research results, and have the potential to become academic leaders at the forefront of world science and technology.

4. **Young Top Talents**: Associate professors or persons with equivalent or higher positions from well-known domestic and foreign universities or research institutions, generally under 40 years of age. Have industry-leading academic standards, solid academic foundation, strong innovation ability, great development potential, and are qualified as reserve forces of disciplinary and professional talents.

5. **Outstanding Young Teachers**: See the specific requirements of the recruitment positions.

### IV. Application Methods and Schedule

#### (I) Application Methods

1. **Talent Introduction**: Applicants should send their resumes and relevant materials to the email address of the intended unit, and may subsequently communicate with the intended unit via phone calls, visits, etc.

2. **Faculty Recruitment**: Applicants must log in to the "Beijing Forestry University Talent Introduction and Faculty Recruitment Website" to register, fill in relevant information as required, and select a position that meets their qualifications according to the job requirements. Each applicant can only apply for one position, and resumes submitted via email or other methods will not be accepted. #### (II) Schedule

Talent introduction work is carried out throughout the year, with each case discussed individually; the deadline for resume submission for faculty recruitment is November 30, 2025, and positions will be closed once filled.

### V. Recruitment Procedures

#### (I) Talent Introduction

The recruiting units will follow the relevant provisions of the university's high-level talent introduction measures.

#### (II) Faculty Recruitment

1. **Assessment and Evaluation**: The recruiting unit will organize evaluations of teaching ability (course trial lecture), academic innovation ability, psychological quality test, and other relevant assessments. The specific content, time, and requirements of the assessment will be separately notified by the recruiting unit.

2. **University Review**: Relevant functional departments of the university will review the materials of the proposed recruits submitted by the recruiting units, organize expert evaluations, and submit the approved personnel to the university for review.

3. **Signing of Contracts**: In accordance with relevant regulations, the personnel approved by the university review will go through procedures such as public announcement in batches, physical examination, and ideological and political assessment. The physical examination requirements shall refer to the standards for national civil servant recruitment. Those who pass the physical examination and ideological and political assessment, and with no objections after public announcement, will have their employment and registration procedures handled by the Personnel Department in accordance with the university's relevant policies.

### VI. Relevant Notes

1. Applicants must truthfully fill in their resumes and other information. The acquisition time of various achievements and awards listed shall be as of the time of submission of the resume. Those who fail to truthfully fill in their resumes or do not meet the application conditions will have their application and employment qualifications canceled once discovered; those who have already started working at the university will have their contracts terminated.

2. Fresh graduates (except for individual disciplines) who are employed as teachers must work in the university's postdoctoral research station at the same time to further improve their innovation ability after joining the university.

3. The recruited personnel are formal employees of the university, with work positions at the Xiongan Campus. Some personnel may work at the Beijing Campus according to work needs.

4. If the number of applicants is insufficient or the number of qualified applicants is small, the university will reduce or stop the recruitment for the corresponding position as appropriate.

5. Other unmentioned matters shall be implemented in accordance with the university's relevant regulations.
