Job Description
China University of Geosciences (Beijing) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly built with the Ministry of Natural Resources. It entered the ranks of national first-class discipline construction universities in 2017 and was selected into the list of the second round of "Double First-Class" construction universities and disciplines in 2022. As a research-oriented university with distinctive features in geology, resources and environment, China University of Geosciences (Beijing) covers multiple disciplines such as science, engineering, liberal arts, management, economics and law. Two disciplines, namely Geology and Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, are included in the national "Double First-Class" construction disciplines. Centering on the "talent-strengthening university" strategy, the university has cultivated a fertile ground for the growth of young talents, attached great importance to the growth and success of postdoctoral researchers, continuously optimized top-level design, innovated service models, and actively promoted the high-quality development of postdoctoral work. The university currently has 16 postdoctoral research stations, and has signed agreements on joint training of postdoctoral researchers with more than 60 postdoctoral workstations across the country, having trained a total of 790 postdoctoral researchers.
To further strengthen the construction of the postdoctoral team and give full play to the important role of postdoctoral researchers in the construction of first-class disciplines, in accordance with the Notice on Issuing the Measures for the Management of Postdoctoral Researchers of China University of Geosciences (Beijing) (Zhongdidajingfa [2023] No. 59), we are now publicly recruiting postdoctoral researchers with outstanding innovation capabilities and excellent scientific research strength from home and abroad.
### I. Recruitment Targets
Postdoctoral applicants should be under 35 years old (age at the time of entering the station) and have obtained a doctoral degree for no more than 3 years.
### II. Recruitment Type
The type of postdoctoral recruitment is Qiuzhen Postdoctoral.
### III. Distribution of Funding
The funding for Qiuzhen Postdoctoral is jointly borne by the university and the cooperative supervisor, with a funding period of two years. The university's funding is distributed by the Personnel Department, and the cooperative supervisor's funding is distributed by the college where they are located. The annual funding from the cooperative supervisor shall not be less than 50,000 yuan for science and engineering disciplines, and not less than 20,000 yuan for humanities and social sciences disciplines.
The Finance Department of the university has set up postdoctoral funding accounts for each college, which are specially used for the receipt and distribution of postdoctoral funding in the college, and the funds are earmarked for special purposes. The cooperative supervisor must transfer the first year's funding to the postdoctoral funding account of the college before the postdoctoral enters the station; within one month after the postdoctoral passes the mid-term assessment, the second year's funding shall be transferred to the account. After the funds arrive, each college shall enter the corresponding funding benefits for postdoctoral researchers on a monthly basis through the financial labor distribution system, which shall be distributed by the Finance Department after being reviewed by the college and approved by the Personnel Department.
