I. University Profile
China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) is a key national university directly under the Ministry of Education, authorized to establish a graduate school, and a member of the national "211 Project" and "Double First-Class" initiative. Located in the core area of Wuhan East Lake National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone and Optics Valley Sci-Tech Innovation Corridor, the university has two campuses: Nanwangshan Campus and Future City Campus.
The university currently has 3,405 faculty and staff members, including 1,943 teachers. Among them, there are 12 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 683 doctoral supervisors, 511 professors, and 946 associate professors. The university is home to 185 (person-times) national-level high-level talents and young talents, including 33 recipients of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund and 70 recipients of the National Excellent Youth Science Fund.
