Announcement for Full-time Postdoctoral Recruitment of Hainan University in 2025

Hainan University is one of the first batch of national "Double First-Class" universities (with world-class disciplines) and a university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hainan Province. Currently, it has 44,000 full-time students, 29 secondary colleges, 16 first-level doctoral programs, 2 professional doctoral programs, 37 first-level master's programs, 28 professional master's categories, 76 undergraduate majors, and 10 postdoctoral research stations. There are 45 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites. The disciplines cover philosophy, economics, law, literature, science, medicine, agriculture, engineering, management, art, and other fields. The university has 3,050 full-time teachers, including 81 national-level talents. ### I. Recruiting Disciplines

The university currently has 10 postdoctoral research stations, including Crop Science, Biology, Ecology, Information and Communication Engineering, Law, Business Administration, Materials Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Biomedical Engineering, and Marxist Theory. Postdoctoral researchers can be recruited in all second-level disciplines with doctoral degree-awarding rights or related interdisciplinary disciplines covered by these stations.

### II. Recruitment Types

The university mainly recruits full-time postdoctoral researchers. A full-time postdoctoral researcher refers to a person engaged in postdoctoral research on a full-time basis, whose files and personnel relations must be transferred to the university. All postdoctoral positions mentioned in this announcement refer to full-time postdoctoral researchers.

### III. Recruitment Quota and Time

In 2025, the university plans to recruit 100 full-time postdoctoral researchers. Outstanding young scholars at home and abroad who meet the requirements are welcome to engage in postdoctoral research at our university, and applications can be submitted throughout the year.

### IV. Duration of Postdoctoral Research

The duration of postdoctoral research at the station is generally 2 years. If necessary due to project duration or research needs, it can be extended by 1 year with approval, and the total duration at the station shall not exceed 6 years.

### V. Application Requirements

1. Have good ideological and political qualities and moral character;

2. Be in good health and able to fully engage in postdoctoral research;

3. Generally, no more than 3 years have passed since obtaining a doctoral degree to the date of application;

4. Generally, age should not exceed 35 years old. For those applying to enter postdoctoral research stations in the fields of humanities and social sciences, "bottleneck" key core technologies, and clinical medicine, or those who obtained a doctoral degree overseas, the age limit for entering the station can be relaxed to 40 years old in accordance with the *Measures for the Implementation of Postdoctoral Management in Hainan Province*.

### VI. Postdoctoral Benefits

1. **Annual Salary Standard**: The university currently classifies postdoctoral researchers into Type A and Type B. For details, please consult the relevant college (contact information of each college is shown below).

2. Full-time postdoctoral researchers can apply for rental/purchase subsidies in accordance with relevant regulations. The current standard is 3,000 yuan per month, which is provided during the employment period, with a cumulative payment not exceeding 36 months. The specific standard shall be subject to the latest regulations of Hainan Province or the university.

3. Hainan Province provides research and talent project subsidies for postdoctoral researchers, including research projects (150,000 yuan/year, with a funding period not exceeding 2 years, subject to application and evaluation), general projects (100,000 yuan, issued in the form of bonuses, subject to application and evaluation), and "South China Sea New Star" projects (100,000-300,000 yuan, subject to application and evaluation), etc. The specific details shall be subject to the latest policies of Hainan Province.

4. During the station period, full-time postdoctoral researchers enjoy benefits such as social insurance, housing provident fund, and access to kindergartens and schools for their children in accordance with the university's regulations.

5. Academic achievements made by postdoctoral researchers during the station period can be declared for rewards in accordance with the teaching and research achievement reward measures of the university or the secondary unit to which the achievements belong.

6. Full-time postdoctoral researchers can apply for the recognition of intermediate professional and technical qualifications in accordance with the university's relevant regulations during the station period.

7. Full-time postdoctoral researchers with excellent performance in assessment and outstanding research achievements will be given priority consideration for appointment as faculty members of the university.

### VII. Application Procedures for Station Entry

1. Applicants contact their intended supervisor, who conducts a preliminary review and reaches an intention. (See the attachment for the list of supervisors.)

2. The recruiting unit organizes experts to assess the applicant's research ability and academic level, and inspect their ideological and political quality and moral character. After passing the assessment and inspection, the applicant submits the station entry materials to the recruiting unit as required. The recruiting unit reviews the applicant's materials and submits them to the university's Postdoctoral Management Office for review.

3. The university's Postdoctoral Management Office reviews the applicant's materials, and after approval, submits them to the university for approval. Those approved for recruitment by the university log in to the China Postdoctoral Website to submit an online application.

4. Postdoctoral researchers whose online applications are approved by the Hainan Provincial Postdoctoral Management Office sign an employment contract (work agreement) with the university and go through the registration procedures.
