### Introduction to the University

Guangxi University was founded in 1928, and its first president was Dr. Ma Junwu, a renowned educator, scientist, and democratic revolutionary in China, known as "Bei Cai Nan Ma" in the education circle and "a great master". The university is located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, which is known as "China's Green City". It is the only national "211 Project" university in Guangxi, a "Double First-Class" construction university, and a university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The university covers 11 disciplines, including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, and art. ### Disciplines with Postdoctoral Stations

The university has 14 postdoctoral research stations, including those in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Light Industry Technology and Engineering, Biology, Crop Science, Plant Protection, Animal Science, Ecology, Physics, Applied Economics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering. It recruits postdoctoral researchers in related disciplinary fields throughout the year.

### Types of Recruitment

1. **Faculty Postdoctoral Researchers**: Postdoctoral researchers recruited mainly for the purpose of supplementing, cultivating, and selecting faculty, and serving as reserve talents for the university's teaching staff.

2. **Research Postdoctoral Researchers**: Postdoctoral researchers with potential for innovative ability cultivation, recruited by the postdoctoral stations according to the needs of disciplinary development and scientific research.

3. **Project Postdoctoral Researchers**: Postdoctoral researchers who are selected into national postdoctoral special programs and work in the university's postdoctoral stations. This includes those selected into the National Postdoctoral Talent Introduction Program, the National Postdoctoral Researcher Funding Program (Category A Boxin Program, Categories B and C), the Xiangjiang Scholar Program, the Macao Young Scholar Program, the Sino-German Postdoctoral Exchange Program, etc.

### Recruitment Requirements

1. Have good moral character, physical fitness, and potential for scientific research and innovation;

2. Be under 35 years old, and generally obtain a doctoral degree no more than 3 years ago;

3. After entering the station, transfer personnel files and personnel relations to the university and engage in postdoctoral research work on a full-time basis.

Requirements for applying for faculty postdoctoral researchers:

1. The age at the time of entering the station shall not exceed 32 years old in principle;

2. Research postdoctoral researchers can be converted to faculty postdoctoral researchers through defense and evaluation within 6 to 24 months after entering the station; research postdoctoral researchers who have been in the station for more than 6 months and have obtained national natural science/social science fund projects or been selected into national postdoctoral special programs can apply and be recommended to be converted to faculty postdoctoral researchers.

3. Project postdoctoral researchers can apply to be converted to faculty postdoctoral researchers 6 months after entering the station.
