Profile of the Supervisor
Gong Nanjie, a researcher at East China Normal University, is supported by national and Shanghai high-level talent programs. He has conducted research and studies in medical imaging at Tsinghua University, the University of Hong Kong, Stanford University, Duke University, the University of California, Berkeley, and other institutions. His research focuses on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods and artificial intelligence (AI) in medical imaging, with several original contributions particularly in AI-based medical image reconstruction and enhancement, as well as the application of multi-modal brain functional imaging techniques (such as MRI diffusion imaging and susceptibility imaging) in neurological diseases and brain intelligence development. He has published dozens of academic papers in leading international journals, many of which have been selected as "cover articles," "highlight articles," or "most cited articles." He holds over 10 authorized domestic invention patents and has several pending PCT international and U.S. patents. He serves as the guest editor-in-chief for the special issue "Susceptibility Imaging" of the international journal *NeuroImage*. ### Recruited Positions: Postdoctoral Researchers, Full-time Associate Researchers
#### I. Job Responsibilities
- Assist the PI in designing and conducting laboratory research projects, assist in guiding graduate students, and be able to independently undertake research projects.
The proposed research directions mainly include:
1. AI in medical imaging: AI-based image reconstruction and enhancement, AI-assisted diagnosis, etc.
2. Advanced medical imaging methods: such as MRI quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM), MRI diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI), etc.
3. Application of medical imaging in brain science: Using imaging methods like fMRI, dMRI, and PET to reveal brain structure, metabolism, and their relationships with cognition and brain development.
#### II. Qualifications
1. Hold a doctoral degree in related fields such as biomedical engineering, medical physics, medical imaging, artificial intelligence and big data analysis, electrical and electronic engineering, or computer science from renowned domestic or foreign universities; generally under 35 years old, with a doctoral degree obtained within the past 3 years, and able to engage in full-time research.
2. Possess knowledge of imaging principles and medical image analysis, with a strong engineering and mathematical background.
3. Have published high-level SCI papers as the first author; priority will be given to those with publications in top conferences on medical imaging or computer vision, or in *IEEE Transactions* journals.
4. Have research experience in artificial intelligence and big data analysis, as well as relevant clinical research experience.
5. Have conducted outstanding and systematic research in the discipline, achieved internationally recognized research results, published influential academic papers in important journals, or mastered key technologies.
6. Be capable of leading a team to carry out research in the field and achieve internationally innovative results, and be willing to conduct substantive technology research and development in close combination with clinical practice.
