Job Description
Jilin University is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, located in Changchun, Jilin Province. Founded in 1946, the university was listed as a national key university in 1960 and became one of the first 22 universities with graduate schools in 1984. It is a member of the national "211 Project", "985 Project" and the first batch of "Double First-Class" university construction initiatives.

### I. Introduction to the Institute
The Institute of Atomic and Molecular Physics of Jilin University is a natural science research institution approved by the Ministry of Education in 1979. In 1998, it became one of the first units authorized to grant doctoral degrees in the first-level discipline of physics. It is a key discipline under the "211 Project" and "985 Project", and has established two provincial key laboratories: the Jilin Provincial Key Laboratory of Applied Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopy, and the Jilin Provincial Innovation Center for Advanced Light Fields and Modern Medical Technology. Under the leadership of senior scientists such as Professor Gou Qingquan, after more than 40 years of development, the Institute has become a major base for scientific research and talent cultivation in related fields in China, having trained over 300 doctoral graduates, including academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, recipients of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, New Century Talents, Tang Aoqing Distinguished Professors, Tang Aoqing Chair Professors, and directors of national key laboratories and provincial key laboratories.
Currently, the Institute has 51 faculty and staff members, including 38 teachers, among whom 5 are national-level talents and 14 are Tang Aoqing talents. In recent years, the Institute has focused on quantum processes and precision measurement of atoms and molecules in ultra-fast and intense laser fields. It has hosted and completed scientific research projects such as the Major Scientific Research Instrument and Equipment Development Project of the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Major Scientific Research Program (973) projects, major research plans and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, national key research and development programs, and national major special tasks. It has established long-term cooperative research relationships with several world-class research institutions, forming its own disciplinary characteristics and international influence.

### II. Salary and Benefits
1. A pre-tax salary of over 300,000 yuan per year, paid monthly for two years. In addition, scientific research achievements during the postdoctoral period are eligible for the university's scientific research awards; those selected into the National Funded Postdoctoral Researchers Program will have their salary and benefits superimposed.

6. After completing the postdoctoral period, can apply for corresponding positions in the university through talent introduction.
7. During the postdoctoral period, can apply for the National Natural Science Foundation for Young Scientists.
8. During the postdoctoral period, can apply for the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program, the National Funded Postdoctoral Researchers Program (Grades B and C), and domestic and foreign postdoctoral exchange programs.
9. During the postdoctoral period, can apply for the Jilin Provincial Postdoctoral Researchers Merit-based Funding Program, the Achievement Transformation and Implementation Program, etc. After leaving the postdoctoral station and joining the university, can apply for the Jilin Provincial Talent Retention Funding Program.
### III. Application Requirements
In addition to having a firm political stance, being physically and mentally healthy, and abiding by the professional ethics of scientific researchers in colleges and universities, applicants should also meet the following requirements:
1. Aged 35 or below.
2. Generally, having obtained a doctoral degree for no more than 3 years, with fresh doctoral graduates preferred.
3. Possessing strong scientific research ability and innovative spirit, and having achieved certain influential research results.
4. Having initially selected a research team or group, with research directions at the forefront of science and technology and in line with national strategic needs.
### IV. Application Channels
There are two application methods for the "Dingxin Scholar" Support Program: the "regular channel" and the "independent channel".
#### (I) Regular Channel
Applications can be submitted at any time throughout the year, with regular reviews. Combined with the time of degree awarding, it is expected to conduct four rounds of reviews throughout the year.
#### (II) Independent Channel
To further attract potential overseas doctors or off-campus doctors, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, senior professors of philosophy and social sciences, leaders of national projects with funding of over 10 million yuan, chief experts of major national social science fund projects, and leaders of ministerial-level or above vertical projects in philosophy and social sciences with actual funding of over 3 million yuan can apply to the university for recruiting "Dingxin Scholars" according to the actual needs of scientific research projects, etc., with separate reviews. ### V. Application and Review

Please prepare the following materials, fill in the relevant application information and upload supporting materials as prompted. The required materials are as follows:
1. Identity materials. Applicants who have obtained a doctoral degree must upload scanned copies of their doctoral degree certificate and graduation certificate; fresh doctoral graduates must upload scanned copies of their student ID card and a certificate issued by their college stating that they meet the requirements for applying for a doctoral degree.
2. Academic and scientific research achievement materials.
(1) A scanned copy of the full text of the doctoral dissertation, which must be the version submitted for review. The dissertation must not contain personal information such as the applicant's name, supervisor's name, and unit name.
(2) Selected papers, monographs, patents or awards that represent the applicant's highest academic level and scientific research achievements. The total number of such materials should not exceed 3. Among them: full texts of papers should be provided; covers, tables of contents and abstracts of monographs should be provided; scanned copies of patent or award certificates should be provided.
3. Two recommendation letters, including one from the doctoral supervisor and one from a peer expert.
After the application deadline, the university will organize experts from inside and outside the university to conduct reviews. The review will mainly assess the academic level, scientific research ability, development potential, innovation of the proposed research content and its role in promoting the relevant discipline.
