The Collaborative Information and System Laboratory of the School of Computer Science and Technology of Fudan University is recruiting 1-2 postdoctoral fellows.

Postdoctoral Researcher: Collaborative Information and Systems Laboratory (CISL)

The Collaborative Information and Systems Laboratory (CISL) within Fudan University’s School of Computer Science and Technology specializes in Human-Computer Interaction and Collaborative Computing. Established in May 2000, CISL is home to 2 professors, 1 associate professor, 1 postdoctoral researcher, and over 40 doctoral and master’s students. In partnership with professors from Fudan University’s School of Sociology, School of Journalism, and School of Management, CISL co-founded the Social Computing Research Center.

With a focus on interdisciplinary research in "Human-Centered Collaborative Computing," the lab has a long-standing history of studies in distributed collaboration, social collaboration, crowd intelligence, and human-AI collaboration. CISL has successfully led over 50 research projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) (major, key, general, and joint projects), National Key R&D Programs, and key projects from the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. The lab has published over 200 high-impact papers at top conferences and journals such as CHI, CSCW, Ubicomp, WWW, SIGIR, NeurIPS, IEEE TKDE, and ACM TOIS. Notably, CISL received the Best Paper Awards at CSCW’15 (Asia’s first) and CHI’14 (mainland China’s first CHI Best Long Paper). Due to expanding research needs, CISL is currently recruiting 1-2 postdoctoral researchers.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Conduct independent research and engineering implementation related to large-scale model intelligent agents under supervision. This includes multimodal model pre-training, fine-tuning, Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF), knowledge-enhanced generation, and agent development.

Recruitment Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence, obtained within the last three years.
• Generally be under 35 years old.
• Meet one of the following:

1. Have published in CCF Category A international conferences or journals (e.g., SIGIR, KDD, TKDE, NeurIPS, ACL, CHI, CSCW).

2. Possess strong experience in large-scale model development (e.g., pre-training, fine-tuning, RLHF, agent systems).

• Be proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Be able to work full-time as a postdoctoral researcher.
