Academic Leader Introduction
Yuping Cao, M.D., Ph.D., a distinguished scholar who studied at Yale University, serves as the Second Chief Physician and Professor at the Second Xiangya Hospital/National Psychiatric Medical Center, Central South University. He is recognized as a leading talent in the discipline of Sublimation Scholars at Central South University and a Hunan Provincial Medical High-level Talent Discipline Leader.
Dr. Cao holds several prominent positions: he is the Vice Chairman of the Psychotherapy Committee of the Chinese Mental Health Association, a Standing Committee member of its Crisis Intervention Committee, and a member of the Clinical and Counseling Committee of the Chinese Psychological Association. He also serves as the Deputy Head of the Social Psychiatry Group of the Chinese Medical Association and is a member of the Psychiatric Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association. Furthermore, he is among China's first batch of health science popularization experts, a Director of the China Science Writers Association, Vice Chairman of the Psychological Science Popularization Creation Committee, Executive Director of the Hunan Science Writers Association, and Chairman of its Mental Health Committee.
His extensive research portfolio includes presiding over or participating in more than 20 projects, such as the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Foundation, and major projects in Hunan Province. He has authored over 80 academic papers, edited 6 books, and contributed to 40 others. Notably, Dr. Cao led the formulation of China's first "Psychological Counseling and Psychotherapy Technical Operation Specification." His contributions have been recognized with significant awards, including the second prize for scientific and technological achievements from the Ministry of Education and the second prize for scientific and technological progress from Hunan Province (ranked second).
In the realm of education, Dr. Cao was among the first teachers from the Ministry of Education to teach national video quality courses. He received the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award (ranked second), the National Outstanding Teacher Award of the Baosteel Education Fund, and the second prize of the Hunan Provincial Teaching Competition.

1. Research on the "trinity" of mental health promotion and psychological intervention of adolescents at home, school and clinical setting;

2. Qualifications:
Should have;
(1) Obtained a Ph.D. degree in related majors, including but not limited to: Clinical Medicine and Basic Medicine, Computer Science and Technology, Artificial Intelligence or related fields, Ph.D. in philosophy.
(2) Excellent ideological and political qualities, strong character, and a commitment to learning. Candidates must be physically and mentally healthy, possess robust scientific research capabilities, demonstrate independent research ability, and exhibit a strong team spirit. Applicants should generally be under 35 years old, though exceptionally qualified candidates may be considered if they are under 40.
(3) Strong English literature reading and writing skills. Those who have published high-level SCI papers as the first author/corresponding author are preferred.
五.Relevant treatment
1. Employment Status: Full-time postdoctoral fellows are managed as in-service employees. All personnel files and salary relations will be transferred to our hospital, and during the contract period, they'll receive the same benefits and insurance as official hospital employees.
2. Postdoctoral Salary: An annual salary system is in place, with three tiers based on research performance:
- Special Funding
- Key Funding
- General Subsidy (up to 3 years)
Postdoctoral fellows who perform exceptionally in their mid-term assessment can move up one salary level in the subsequent year. Those who meet the requirements will maintain their current subsidy level, while those who don't meet expectations will see their annual salary reduced by one level the following year. If a postdoctoral fellow meets the criteria for a higher salary tier during the mid-term assessment, they can immediately receive that corresponding remuneration. Supervisors also have the discretion to provide additional subsidies to postdoctoral fellows based on specific circumstances.
3. Scientific Research Incentives: Scientific research achievements made during the postdoctoral period will be rewarded in accordance with the "Incentive Measures for Promoting Scientific and Technological Innovation in the Construction of 'Double First-Class' in the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University (Provisional)." Research groups may also provide additional performance-based incentives.
4. Scientific Research Funding: During their postdoctoral period, fellows primarily conduct research projects under their supervisor's guidance, with funding mainly provided by the supervisor. The hospital also offers a scientific research start-up fund of 100,000 yuan per person for postdoctoral fellows. These start-up funds are managed by the postdoctoral cooperative supervisors. For postdoctoral personnel and training jointly recruited with external units, scientific research funds are provided by the cooperative or entrusted units.
5. Career Progression: Postdoctoral fellows who meet the university's criteria for new teachers can apply for permanent positions within six months before completing their term. Outstanding postdoctoral fellows will receive preferential consideration for retention in schools (colleges) and professional title evaluations.
