Job Description

(Fresh graduates can apply for postdoctoral positions before obtaining a doctorate; If the introduction criteria are met, the school will issue a letter of intent in advance)

一.Introduction of the unit

Dalian University of Technology began to set up a postdoctoral research station in 1985, and was one of the first units to set up a station in China. In 2023, the university will add 2 new postdoctoral research stations, bringing the number of postdoctoral research stations to 28. In the latest evaluation of national postdoctoral mobile stations, four mobile stations of chemistry, chemical engineering and technology, mechanical engineering, and Hydraulic engineering were rated as "excellent".

Since 2019, through the dedicated training efforts of the university, supervisors, and teams, more than 20 postdoctoral fellows from our institution have been selected for the "Boxin Program." Our postdoctoral researchers have secured over 250 postdoctoral funds, totaling 24 million yuan. Additionally, they've been awarded more than 250 youth projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Social Science Foundation of China, amounting to over 7,000 yuan in funding. Notably, in 2023 alone, 34 individuals were selected for the state-funded postdoctoral researcher program. Our university also achieved significant success in the 2nd National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, earning one gold medal and one winning award.

Over the past five years, more than one-third of our postdoctoral fellows have transitioned into teaching positions at the university, steadily becoming a driving force in the institution's scientific research and innovation. More than 20 full-time postdoctoral personnel have undertaken national key and major project research, overseeing project funding exceeding 5,000 yuan. The average age of these project leaders is remarkably only 33 years old at the time of project approval, underscoring their vital role as young talents tackling critical scientific and technological challenges and driving innovation.
